The Polar WearLink™ combines superior Polar technology with
a new fabric design. The electrodes that pick up the heart's signals
are engineered right into the fabric strap. The result is a superior
fit for any individual body shape, providing revolutionary comfort
and full freedom of movement.
The Polar coded technology ensures that
the user picks up only their heart signal, and not the signal of another heart
rate monitor nearby. With millions of HRM's in use today, there's a good chance
that someone working out next to you may also have one on. Interference from
any other HRM is now eliminated and an accurate signal is ensured.
The WearLink is water-resistant vs. the traditional one-piece design of the Polar T31, which is the only 100% waterproof transmitter available on the market today. While the WearLink is water resistant, we recommend the traditional Polar T-31 (below) for any water sports.
In addition, the Polar WearLink has a user replaceable
battery. Due to the lower power consumption of the Polar technology,
you make less battery changes and when the electrodes are worn, simple replace
the fabric strap (sold below)
